19 Sep Kelly
While holidaying off the coast of Phuket, Cameron and Kelly enjoyed a beautiful dinner down by the beach. When they returned to their villa, Cameron dropped down on one knee and proposed. The couple were married in front of 140 guests at St John’s Anglican Cathedral. After a traditional ceremony, all the guests moved on to the reception at Brisbane City Hall.
For her bridal gown, Kelly worked with Leonard Derecourt to design her dream dress. Leonard created a trumpet-style gown with a stunning beaded bodice and silk organza skirt. The designer also created the lavender dresses for the bridesmaids. To complement his blushing bride, Cameron wore a gun metal grey suit.
The couple chose a classic theme, pairing timeless pieces such as chandeliers and white Tiffany chairs with huge floral arrangements on each table. The fresh peonies atop the four-tiered cake tied in with Kelly’s bouquet of white peonies and roses. After feeling so nervous in the lead up to the day, the highlight for both Kelly and Cameron was seeing each other for the first time at the cathedral, as all the nerves disappeared.
The couple honeymooned in the Maldives and Thailand.
